黄远东，男，1964年11月生，汉族，湖南新宁人，工学博士，教授，博士生导师，上海理工大学环境与建筑学院院长。
主要学习与工作经历
分别于1986、1991和1999年获学士、硕士和博士学位；
1999年9月至2001年9月——清华大学土木与水利学院博士后；
2002年10月至2003年7月——德国University ofStuttgart土木与环境工程学院客座研究员(Guest Research Fellow)；
2008年7月至2008年12月——韩国庆熙大学(KyungHee University)机械工程学院研究教授(Research Professor)；
2013年4月至2014年5月——韩国庆熙大学教授（国际学者，韩国教育部注册正式教员职位）；
2001年10月至今，上海理工大学环境与建筑学院任教。
2002年，评定副教授专业技术职务；
2006年，破格评定教授专业技术职务。
主要社会学术团体兼职
上海环境科学学会理事；SCI检索期刊《Journal of Hydrodynamics》、中文核心期刊《水动力学研究与进展》和《中国钨业》编委；国家自然科学基金项目网评专家；波兰国家科学中心项目外评专家。
主要研究方向
大气污染控制工程、通风除尘与气力输送、风洞试验技术、环境CFD模拟技术、水力学与河流动力学。

曾主持/承担完成了世博会重大科技专项、国家自然科学基金、973项目、全国优秀博士学位论文作者专项基金、上海市教委科研创新重点项目、河网水质调节的数学模型研究、以及相关单位委托的风洞试验研究项目等。
成果曾获国家机械工业局科技进步一等奖和中国高校科技进步二等奖；论文曾获中国博士后学术大会优秀论文二等奖和中国农业机械学会优秀论文三等奖。
