李燕博士，澳大利亚弗林德斯大学毕业，现为澳大利亚南昆士兰大学副教授、系统生物学研究中心副主任。2013年3月，入选湖北省有关人才项目。长期从生物信息处理研究，在盲信号分离（BSS）、回归神经网络（RNN）的表示与映射方面开展了原创性的研究，取得了多项创新成果。近年来，所开展的关于生物信息处理的理论与方法的若干研究居于国际生物信息学科发展前沿，具有很好的发展前景。在国际权威期刊共发表学术论文135余篇，均被SCI、EI收录。
